4K Information

4K/5K Age Requirements

If a child is 4 on or before September 1, they register for 4K.  There is no early entrance for 4K.  If a child is 5 on or before September 1, they register for 5K.  Any exception to the above guidelines is a decision that is made on an individual, case-by-case basis, as this is not a routine practice.  Should you have additional questions regarding enrollment, please contact our Educational Services Center (262-971-1800) for additional information.

Program Information

Boundaries

All 4K students attend Bay Lane Elementary.  When students transition to kindergarten/5K, they will attend the appropriate elementary school as designated by the boundary map.

Hours of Program

• Two sessions available--AM and PM
• Applications will be processed in the order they are received (pending all required documentation has been provided). An email will be sent in April communicating AM or PM placement. 
• Session preference is not guaranteed. Due to a higher demand for AM classes, requests may be waitlisted. 
• Approximate AM session time:  9:05 a.m. to 11:50 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Approximate PM session time:  12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Class times may vary by 15 minutes

Transportation

• Please communicate specific needs through the bus form
• When your application is processed in April, a bus form will be sent via email 
• Mid-day transportation is also available to 4K students
