Mount Mary University Summer Leadership Academy

The Summer Leadership Academy brings together 65 high school girls from across the U.S. to Mount Mary University for a residential college-prep, career exploration, and leadership program. During the Academy, panels, lectures and interactive workshops are presented by experts from a variety of backgrounds, including nursing, business, education, and non-profits.

WCTC Find My Future: Hands-on Career Exploration Summer Camp

This exciting summer camp is open to all students entering ninth, tenth, eleventh or twelfth grade. Explore your interests, and discover new and exciting careers! Check out the career activity options below, and choose the track that's right for you. Be sure to sign up early! Activities are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and tracks fill up rapidly.

UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha Pre-College and Youth Programs

College Prep: The College Prep program improves basic skills, provides tutoring, works on competency in core subjects, and offers career exploration. Students in grades six through 12 meet once a week after school. The fall program runs September to December, and the spring program runs January to June. Locations include Les Paul Middle School, Waukesha North High School and UWM at Waukesha (open to all in Waukesha County).

University Camp: The University Camp meets for two weeks in June and is available for students entering sixth through eighth grade. The program, which takes place at UWM at Waukesha, features classes, workshops, activities and guest speakers, and also works to build leadership and life skills.

College Bound: The College Bound program is for students entering grades nine through 12 and meets for two weeks in July. Students participate in classes, workshops and activities on the UWM at Waukesha campus. The program includes guest speakers who reinforce academic skills while emphasizing leadership and life skills.

Project Pioneer: Project Pioneer is a pre-college enrichment program for high school students. It’s conveniently offered on Saturdays throughout the academic year and includes many participants who are the first generation in their families to attend college. Project Pioneer offers valuable information and preparation through exposure to a variety of cultural activities, college campuses and academic programs.

STEM for Girls: STEM for Girls/STEM para Chicas is a five-day camp designed to educate middle and high school aged girls about opportunities in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields. During the program, campers will experience a variety of topics through interactive demonstrations and activities from a coding workshop, to discovering art in nature, to a tour of local workplaces and more. Team building, career panels, mock interviews and more round out the programming. This program runs every other year.

University of Notre Dame Pre-College Programs

Summer Scholars: Summer Scholars participants spend two intense weeks in one of 22 exciting programs of study. We keep the classes small and personal attention from Notre Dame faculty high. The coursework is a true preview of college academics—it is both rigorous and rewarding, and students earn one college credit upon the completion of a program track. Students collaborate on coursework outside designated class times, as they would in any college setting. There is also ample time to enjoy the social facets of college life, especially those unique to Notre Dame.

Leadership Seminars: Leadership Seminars is a competitive, 10-day program on Notre Dame's campus for academically talented students who show impressive leadership within their communities. Approximately 90 students are admitted to Leadership Seminars each year, and students are eligible to receive one college credit upon completion of the program. Tuition, housing, and meals for students admitted to Leadership Seminars will be paid for by the University.

Badger Summer Scholars is a two-week program in which students attend a college-level seminar ina topic of their choice, taught by UW-Madison instructors. Students also participate in the Jump Forward series, a workshop series on how to prepare for college, including topics on the admissions process, navigating college, career exploration and more. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in a small group setting during Q&A sessions featuring the same UW-Madison professionals who assist incoming undergraduates.

The Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) engages talented students from across Wisconsin, the nation and the world in an intense, research-focused, three-week summer program. Designed to push students to the next academic level in an intimate learning environment, students in ALP enroll in a single course for an in-depth experience, with numerous opportunities to connect with instructors, build community and engage with peers.

Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design Pre-College Summer Programs

MIAD’s Summer Pre-College is an intense, immersive, and exciting exploration of visual art and design for high school age students. Taught by MIAD faculty, this is an opportunity to create art all day, every day, and experience a college-level curriculum. It is also a chance to connect with other art students from across the country.

There are two programs: The two-week Core Studio Concepts is for beginning or intermediate students interested in exploring two areas of art study: The three-week Advanced Studio Concepts is for students ready for intensive college work in one area of art study.

UW-Madison Summer Research Scholars Program
An 8-week, completely online and remote experience intended to offer research and mental health career exposure to high school students. In the program, students learn research skills and complete their own study in collaboration with mentors on the UW-Madison team. The applications and more information is available.
