Dear Muskego-Norway Voters,

On behalf of the Muskego-Norway school board, I want to thank you for taking the time and voting on April 5th. The strong support the community has shown for our education system in Muskego-Norway is truly inspiring.

For those that voted “Yes,” thank you for trusting us with the funds to fulfill our vision to be the district of choice in southeast Wisconsin. We promise to fulfill the plan to your expectations. For those community members that voted “No,” we will use this opportunity to prove our fiscal responsibility and stewardship by treating your tax dollars with respect and restraint.

Please watch for updates in the coming months as we begin our planning and design phases. Our goal is to put the project out to bid after January 1st, 2017.

With appreciation,

Rick Petfalski
Muskego-Norway Schools

On April 5, 2016, the community voted to approve the referendum question authorizing general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $43.12M.

The plan will create a 3-2-1 school organization by establishing three elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. The plan includes closing Tess Corners and Muskego Elementary Schools, which are both over 90 years old.  Additions and renovations to Mill Valley Elementary will be completed to replace the oldest portion of the building and allow for more elementary students to attend.  The combined Bay Lane and Country Meadows building will be renovated to become solely an elementary school.  A new school building will be constructed for middle school students and staff on existing district owned land. Finally, site improvements will be completed at Lakeview Elementary, specifically increasing parking and improving traffic flow. Detailed planning will begin immediately.

Gratitude is extended to the Master Planning Committee members who spent many months considering recommendations to the district's facilities needs, administration & staff for deploying a communication plan and the school board for presenting a responsible plan to the voters.

Please stay tuned to the district's website for updates on project and construction planning.

You Shared. We listened.
