ABOUT
Community Day provides Muskego High School students the opportunity to participate in service-based experiences that will foster community connections and a greater appreciation for the value of helping others.
This is a half day of school. Freshmen and Sophomores will be receiving an email for sign up. All students will receive a FREE t-shirt and the chance to gain a better understanding of the world around them. With a variety of on and off campus opportunities, there is something for everyone! Site and descriptions are listed below. Check your email for the registration link below to secure your spot.
Juniors and Seniors can use the day to attend college tours, work on FAFSA applications, investigate scholarship opportunities, explore future educational opportunities, career steps, etc.
SCHEDULE
Students begin at 7:25 a.m. with an Introduction to the Day, a presentation on BUILDING STUDENT RESILIENCE: Unleashing Perseverance, Passion, and Purpose. The day ends at 11:15 a.m.
OFF CAMPUS SITES
TRAIL & GROUNDS CLEAN UP
Roll up your sleeves and take a "Trash Trek" along community trails collecting trash, removing debris from walkways and paths, planting trees, cleaning up flower beds and more! This is great opportunity get some fresh air and exercise while breathing new life back into our parks. Plan to dress in layers and for the weather. Wear appropriate shoes or boots and bring work gloves if you have.

ON CAMPUS SITES
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) are two sites where the service will be conducted in building at Muskego High School. Supplies are REQUIRED for both of these sites (see below).
- Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
Students signed up for this site should bring enough items to make 2 blankets to be donated to the children at Children's Hospital.
2 coordinating pieces of fleece (2 yards each, 4 yards total, fabric scissors, and a ruler.)
- HAWS Animal Toys
Students signed up this site will be making Snuffle Balls for dogs, Happy Sock Toys for cats or Square knot Dog Tug Toy. Bring enough materials to make 3 Snuffle Balls or 3 Happy Socks or both!
- Smile Cards
POP TAB COLLECTION
In addition to taking part in a local community clean up, FBLA is collecting pop tabs from your aluminum cans. Donate your tabs in bins around the school! All of these pop tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and recycled to benefit families in need. Buckets will be available in the cafeteria and at the various entrances. Let's pop a tab for a purpose!!
