Mill Valley was chosen as a School of Merit for PBIS. School-wide positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS) is a system of tools and strategies for defining, teaching, acknowledging appropriate behavior, and correcting inappropriate behavior. It is a framework for creating customized school systems that support student outcomes and academic success. PBIS is for the whole school, it is preventative, and it changes the paradigm of focus from negative behaviors and exchanges to positive expectations and interactions.
Lakeview Elementary School has earned a 2014-15 Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition Award. This acknowledgement, given by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and State Superintendent Tony Evers, is award to three types of schools: 1) high-achieving; 2) high-progress; and 3) beating the odds. Lakeview Elementary School received the high achieving award. Lakeview is one of only 16 schools in the state of Wisconsin receiving the high achieving award.
Country Meadows recognized as 2013 National Blue Ribbon School
Country Meadows in the Muskego-Norway School District was honored by receiving national recognition as a 2013 Blue Ribbon School. Country Meadows was just one of five public schools in the state of Wisconsin to earn this prestigious award. The Blue Ribbon Award is widely renowned as the nations highest honor for schools by the U.S. Department of Education. Country Meadows is recognized as an Exemplary High Performing school.
