The Heisman High School Scholarship continues a 25-year tradition of honoring high school seniors who accomplish tremendous feats in the classroom, on the field, and most importantly, within their communities. The scholarship recognizes and rewards both male and female high school athletes who are community-minded and driven to use their exceptional talents for the benefit of all.

The Heisman High School Scholarship program recognizes male and female community-minded scholar-athletes at the state and national level.

  • 88 State Winners receive a $500 scholarship.
  • 10 National Finalists receive a $1,000 scholarship.
  • 2 National Winners receive a $5,000 scholarship. National Winners and their parents will also be invited to attend the Heisman Trophy weekend in New York City where they will receive national honor and recognition during the televised ESPN Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Heisman High School Scholarship requires a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one school-sponsored sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community. Application may be found here.

Voice of Democracy Scholarship Essay Contests 10/31/2019 Varies

The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12, who are enrolled in public, private, or parochial highs schools, or home study in the United States. Prizes and scholarships are awarded at the local, district, state and national level. The top scholarship at the national level is $30,000. The theme for 2019/20 is "What Makes America Great." 2019-2020 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing Field of study 11/5/2019 Varies

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors 9th-12th grade students for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions.

CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY - Any U.S. student in grades 9 through 12 who self-identifies as a woman, genderqueer, or nonbinary is eligible to apply. Applicants who meet all of the eligibility requirements outlined at will be considered for both the National and Regional Affiliate Award designations.

PRIZES - All award designations receive automatic induction into the AiC Community (a national network of peers, supported by professionals and volunteers) and various prizes, such as computing resources, gadgets, and swag. Each National and Regional Affiliate Award Winner receives: • recognition at a Regional Affiliate Award event (at the discretion of the Regional Affiliate Award program) • an engraved award for both the recipient and the recipient’s school • scholarship and internship opportunities Each National Award Winner receives cash and a trip to the National Award for AiC Celebration in March 2020, hosted by Bank of America.

Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association Scholarship Essay Contests 11/30/2019 $500

The Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association is pleased to sponsor their 12th  Annual Scholarship competition for high school seniors.

  • All Waukesha County, Wisconsin public & private high school seniors graduating in 2019 are invited to participate.

Fleet Reserve Association Annual Americanism Essay Contest Essay Contests 12/1/2019 Varies

This year's title for the essay is "What My Vote Will Mean to Me." The essay cannot be more than 350 words. The contest is for grades 7 through 12. Milwaukee Branch 14 Fleet Reserve Association is giving the following as prizes: 1st place $100; 2nd place $75; and 3rd place is $50. The grand prize on the National level is $5,000. Deadline is December 1, 2019.

Wisconsin Student Nurses Association: Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarship Field of study 12/1/2019 $200

The goal of this select scholarhship is to provide two, $200 scholarships to aid in paying tuition for a Certified Nurse Assistant course while in high school. Eligibility: Candidate must not be a senior in the 2019-2020 academic year; must have an interest in the nursing profession; must be eligible to enroll in the tech campus Certified Nurse Assistant course. Criteria: The candidate will submit an essay describing their experience with a relative or friend battling substance abuse (minimum 500 words). Application is available in the Student Services Office and is due by December 1, 2019. 



Greater Milwaukee Association of Legal Professionals (GMALP) Scholarship Field of study 12/15/2019 $300

The Greater Milwaukee Association of Legal Professionals (GMALP) is sponsoring a scholarship for a student in the Greater Milwaukee planning to enter (or presently enrolled in) an educational program associated with the legal field at an accredited local college with special emphasis on prospective legal secretaries, legal assistants and/or paralegals. The amount of this yearly scholarship is $300. The deadline for returning the application form and related information is December 15, 2019.

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship Field of study 12/16/2019 Varies

The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to study engineering at a four year ABET accredited program leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering and intend to enter the profession of engineering upon graduation. Each applicant will be considered for all of the following scholarships.

  • The Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship, 2 scholarships, each $2,000
  • The NSPE-WI Past Presidents Scholarship, 1 scholarship, $2,000
  • The Behling Scholarship, 2 scholarships, each $2,000

U.S. Navy ROTC Military 12/31/2019 Varies

The purpose of the Navy ROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps. Selected applicants for the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program are awarded scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process, and receive full tuition, books stipend, educational fees and other financial benefits at many of the country's leading colleges and universities. Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Scholarship Field of study 1/15/2020 Varies

The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers is pleased to announce that scholarships will be available in 2020 for graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a career in the auto and truck industry. Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity Scholarship Academic 1/16/2020 $2,500

The Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin (BBB) is pleased to announce its Students of Integrity Scholarships for 2020. BBB Serving Wisconsin awards scholarships to Wisconsin high school students who have demonstrated character, leadership and ethical values beyond their grades and test scores. To be eligible for this award, the student must: be a Wisconsin state resident; a high school senior; have a 3.0 GPA or show academic improvement consistently over time; plan to attend a Wisconsin-based accredited Higher Education Institution (2 or 4 year). John F. Kennedy-Profile in Courage Essay Contest Essay Contests 1/17/2020 Varies

The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve. The top award is $10,000. Essays can be no more than 1,000 words but must be a minimum of 700 words. U.S. Air Force ROTC Military 1/17/2020 Varies

There are three types of high school scholarships:
Type 1 - Pays full (100 percent) college tuition and authorized fees at any public or private
institution with an Air Force ROTC detachment. Type 1 selectees will also receive a monthly
living expense stipend and an annual book stipend.
Type 2 - Pays up to $18,000 per year in college tuition and authorized fees at any public or
private institution with an Air Force ROTC detachment. Scholarship payment is further capped at up to $9,000 per semester or up to $6,000 per quarter. Type 2 selectees will also receive a monthly living expense stipend and an annual book stipend.
Type 7 - Pays full (100 percent) college tuition and authorized fees (capped at the in-state tuition rate) at a public institution with an Air Force ROTC detachment. Type 7 selectees will also receive a monthly living expense stipend and an annual book stipend.

Wisconsin Education Association Council Scholarship Field of study 2/1/2020 $1,450

Wisconsin Education Association Council is again offering a scholarship to eligible high school seniors who are planning to enter the field of education. Winners of the scholarship will receive a grant of $1,450.00 per year for four years of study, provided they remain eligible.

In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his/her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 non-weighted scale) at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor and intend to teach in Wisconsin.

U.S. Army ROTC Military 2/4/2020 Varies

The Army ROTC National High School Scholarship Program is designed to provide merit based financial assistance for quality students who have achieved academic excellence while in high school. To help meet the cost of a college education, Army ROTC offers merit based four-year scholarships to current high school seniors. Army ROTC is an Officer commissioning program that requires a student to take on Military Science class per semester along with the student’s core degree classes. This program enables students to earn appointments as commissioned officers in the United States Army. Applications are due by February 4th 2020. More information can be found here.

Kohler Credit Union 2020 Scholarship Financial Need 3/28/2020 $10,000

The $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to students in renewable installments of $2500 each school year for up to four years. For each year the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in college, they will qualify for the renewable portion of the scholarship.

The requirements for the scholarship are: Student or parents must be Kohler Credit Union members prior to January 1, 2020.; student must have a cumulative high school grade point of at least 3.25; student must have definite plans to attend a 4-year college or university full-time in the State of Wisconsin; student must have a high school record that indicates achievement and high standards in scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and involvement in school and community activities. O'Reilly Family Scholarship Presented by Lakeview Elementary PTO Community Service/Local Scholarships 3/30/2020 $500

Lakeview Elementary School's PTO is excited to announce the availability of two $500 O'Reilly Family Scholarships to the members of the 2020 graduating class of Muskego High School. Eligibility requirements: Applicant must have attended Lakeview Elementary for at least one year of their elementary education;  Enrolling in a post graduate training program which could include: 1-2 year technical training or a 4 year college/university; Receive the scholarship in person at Lakeview School's end of the year assembly.

Young American Creative Patriotic Art Scholarship Competition Financial Need 3/31/2020 Varies

The contest is opent to all student in grades 9-12. Judging of entries is based on originality of concept, presentation, and partiotism expressed; the content of how it relates to patriotism and clarity of ideas; the design technique; total impact of work; and uniqueness. On the National Level, a $15,000 scholarship is awarded to the First Place entry. Jeffrey Wanta Memorial Scholarship Memorials 4/3/2020 $1,033

A $1,033 scholarship is being awarded to a graduating Muskego High School senior in remembrance of Jeffrey Wanta. This scholarship was created to celebrate the life and memory of Jeffrey, a Muskego High School graduate, Class of 1979 whose life was cut short by a tractor accident in the summer of 2014. Requirements are: application form; proof of GPA 3.0 or better; proof of legal U.S. citizenship; proof of residency in Muskego, WI at the time of application; usage of scholarship funds for tuition only; write a one to two page essay.

Jane Kralj Memorial Scholarship Memorials 4/6/2020 $500

Muskego High School students graduating in 2020 planning to attend a two or four year college are eligible to apply for this $500 scholarship. Scholarship application requirements are: Application form; Essay-describe a specific act of kindness or generosity that you performed. Describe the response from the individual(s) you helped and how you felt as a result of the act; High School transcript; List of activities, clubs, experiences that you have participated in during high school that have involved helping others. Muskego Warriors Youth Baseball Scholarship Athletic 4/30/2020 $500

Muskego Warriors Youth Baseball is excited to announce the availability of two $500 scholarships to the members of the 2020 graduating class of Muskego High School.
