School is released at 3:45 p.m. Kindergarten students are released several minutes early to allow extra time to get on the bus.
It is the policy of the School Board to transport by bus all students attending Country Meadows Elementary School unless written permission is given by the parents to transport privately.
Lamers School Bus Service provides all transportation. You may contact them at (262) 679-8920.
Make sure your child has an understanding of their bus responsibilities.
Know your route and bus number.
Be at your stop five (5) minutes before pickup. The driver must keep on schedule.
Be careful in approaching the bus stop. Walk on the left side of the road toward oncoming traffic.
If it is necessary to cross the road after leaving the bus, always wait for a signal from the bus driver.
While riding the bus, the same rules apply as during the school day.
Remain seated while on the bus, whether the bus is moving or at a stop.
Obey the driver's instructions.
Loud talking, laughing or unnecessary noise can distract the driver's attention and make the task of providing safe transportation extremely difficult. Please behave in a manner that helps the driver get you to school and home safely.
Signing students out from school.
To ensure the safety of our students/your children, please follow these four procedures when signing your child(ren) out from school.
Parents/guardians or any other adult designated by the parent/guardian, must sign their child(ren) out when picking their child up from school.
Parents are required to either call the school office ahead of time or use the blue notes to communicate a change in transportation procedures or an early pick up.
When a parent chooses a designee to pick up their child, the parent/guardian must communicate with the office the identity of this individual.
In the event an adult's identity who is picking up a child is unclear, Country Meadows will detain the release of the child until confirmation of the adults identity is cleared by parent/guardian/police.
