Children, regardless of their age, have a variety of interests. In addition, they learn in a variety of ways and at a pace unique to their own development.Consequently, Muskego-Norway Schools has made a variety of coursework options available to students through the Extended Learning Academy (ELA).NOTE:Due to scheduling conflicts, students may not register for both Enrichment and Bridging the Gap courses.Bridge-the-Gap Courses — Coursework designed to review and enhance reading, writing and math skills particular to a student’s needs. These courses are teacher recommended courses and have a limited number of slots available. If your teacher does not recommend your child for one of these courses, please initiate a conversation with your child’s teacher.Students cannot be registered for these courses without an authorized teacher signature.Enrichment Courses — These courses help to develop a student’s technology and science skills through hands-on experiences. Transition Course — Movin’ On is a course which helps to bridge the transition from elementary to middle school. This course is offered at Bay Lane and LakeDenoonMiddle Schools.Further details and dates will be coming in the spring. On the ELA Course Offerings Form found on page 3 of this brochure, you will find a description of the classes. If you see a course highlighted with a highlighter and a teacher’s signature on the Registration Form, your child has been recommended to take that class. Please strongly consider enrolling your child in this course. The ExtendedLearningAcademy only lasts for three weeks, and the additional time can be the perfect boost to the start of a terrific new school year.
