New Lunch Software Beginning in September 2010, Food Service will be utilizing the Food Service Module from Infinite Campus.  Now parents will be able to access lunch account information through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  This accounting system is real time, so you will know if your deposit that you sent with your student made it in their lunch account by lunch time.  You no longer need a Family ID.  All you need to do is include one of your student’s ID number.

 

Food 4 Life Initiative
 

Taher’s Food 4 Life initiative focuses on menus made with fresh ingredients, scratch cooking and overall healthier food choices.  We are including more legumes into our menus.  We also offer our Harvest of the Month fruit and vegetables.  Our daily fruit and vegetable bars will feature Farm to School fresh produce.  We hope you will encourage your children to try some of our new menu choices.

 

New Menu Items

Carne Italian Stromboli:  Pepperoni, ham and mozzarella cheese wrapped in Pizza dough

Turkey Tetrazzini:   Penne Pasta, diced roasted turkey, carrots, celery, onions and peas in a light Parmesan cream sauce

Eggs Benedict:  Whole Wheat English muffin, egg patty and sliced ham served with a side of Holandaise sauce

Chicken Divan:  Roasted diced chicken breast, broccoli, cream of chicken soup, mayo, cheddar cheese with a bread crumb butter topping

Roasted Cider Pork:  Whole Pork loin marinated in apple Juice, apple cider vinegar, salt and sugar.  Roasted, sliced and serve with cinnamon brown sugar apple slices

Tex  Mex Pork:  Seasoned shredded roast pork, served with rice and corn and bean salsa

Tuna Nicoise:  Romaine lettuce, tuna, baby red potatoes, cut green beans, cherry tomatoes, tossed in a light Italian dressing

Southwest Salad:  Romaine lettuce mix with black bean, cheddar cheese, corn, diced tomatoes, served with a salsa sour cream dressing

Meatloaf:   Ground beef, onion, celery, egg, low sodium beef base, garlic, bread crumbs, salt, pepper served with beef gravy

Homemade French toast:  Vienna bread, fresh eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and skim milk served with a syrup cup

Turkey Hot Pocket:  Sliced roasted turkey, broccoli cuts, cheddar cheese wrapped in seasoned bread dough, brushed with egg white, baked and served by the slice

Orange Popcorn Chicken:  Baked popcorn chicken in a light orange glaze of orange juice, light soy sauce, orange marmalade, minced garlic and green onions served with brown rice

Southwest Burger:  Beef Patty served with BBQ sauce and American cheese
