Here's some really cool stuff

Here are some activities for the kids outside of normal classroom studies. Encourage them to participate and enjoy!

3rd Graders meet once a month to trim and snip Campbell's soup labels and other lables as a fundraiser for the PTO.

Dragon Council

4th Graders have the opportunity to represent the student body to enhance the school climate through spirit days and fund-raisers, and to provide community service.

Jump Rope for Heart

Lakeview is proud to be a part of Jump Rope For Heart.  Jump Rope For Heart is a fun and effective way to teach heart-healthy living.  It emphasizes the importance of physical activity as children do something they enjoy---jumping rope.  The event provides the opportunity for children to perform community service as they raise funds for the American Heart Association.  All students will jump rope in their physical education classes and culminate the event with an all-school jump on the playground.  Last year alone, Lakeview raised over $12,000.00 for the AHA.  Awesome achievement!

Olympic Day

Olympic Day is another exciting all-school event that Lakeview is proud to be part of. The primary children perform their events in the morning while the third and fourth graders participate in the afternoon. Olympic day is a time when children can exercise, have fun and compete with their friends and classroom teacher, while exhibiting good sportsmanship. The primary children perform 11 different activities. Some of these exciting events include the water balloon toss, 50 yard dash, egg-spoon relay, potato sack race and hospital bed race. The older children participate in 8 different events. A jump rope competition, water-cup relay and the ever popular 4 Square Tournament highlight the afternoon session.  Stop by and watch or participate with your child!

Reporter's Club

Students will have the opportunity to report on various activities and events at Lakeview School for updates to the web site and to broadcast to the school as a newscast.

Safety Patrol

4th Graders have the opportunity to both model strong citizenship qualities as well as assist/guide Lakeview students in using three key standards: Be safe, be kind and do your job.

Science Fair

This learning event takes place each year in the gym in conjunction with parent/teacher conferences. Students will share/exhibit their experimental or non-experimental science projects.
